At Chapel House, we are delighted to celebrate the success of the Admiral Nurses commissioned to support both Chapel House Nursing Home and Plessington Court Residential Care Home, who have been accepted onto the NIHR Researcher Development Programme for Social Care Nurses as Social Care Nurse Research Interns.
This is a fantastic achievement and reflects their commitment to improving dementia care through learning, evidence, curiosity and practice development. Their acceptance onto this programme is not only a personal success, but also a real positive for the homes, residents, families and staff teams they support.
The programme will support them to develop their research skills over the next year, beginning in October 2026. It will provide valuable opportunities to explore how research can strengthen social care nursing and support better outcomes for people living with dementia.
At Chapel House, we are proud to work alongside professionals who are passionate about person-led, evidence-informed dementia care. The Admiral Nurse role brings specialist knowledge, compassion and practical support into the home, helping staff teams to reflect, learn and continually improve the care and support provided to residents and their families.
