Specialist Dementia Care Homes

We take a therapeutic approach to dementia care.
This means that we believe in helping each of our residents to live well and with purpose and our homes are all about enabling this.
Our staff team, led by our vastly experienced Registered Manager Keith Ley, has been hand-picked to ensure our residents are offered the best opportunities to lead as independent and fulfilling lives as their conditions permit.
Our approach is guided by best practice in dementia care and the latest research from our working relationship with leading dementia specialists across the UK.
In both of our homes we use the latest, person-centred dementia care advice and use techniques such as Montessori, Namaste, Music and Art Therapy to improve each person’s quality of life.

  • Chapel House has been an integral part of my family life for over 30 years. I have had great mentorship from my parents who were both registered mental health nurses and they have instilled the value of honesty and integrity as an individual and as a nurse . I have been passionate about caring for people living with the symptoms of dementia throughout my working career and enabling people live their best life is my ultimate aim. I have worked with many people who live with dementia and their families in the community in my capacity of Admiral Nurse and this has influenced how we provide care here at Chapel House & Plessington Court. I am a registered mental health and general nurse with a degree in Gerontology (care of the older person) based on professional practice, I also hold a variety of qualifications that enable me to have the knowledge and experience to facilitate the growth of Chapel House Care.

I continue to learn and adapt to a changing care environment and aim to always provide the highest standards of care in our homely family based homes.
