A selection of classic cars visited the Gift Café in Puddington village.
A whole range of cars were on display including a white two stroke Trabant, originally made in East Germany, a 1969 Triumph Herald 1360 convertible, a 1930s Morris and a Triumph Spitfire.
Initially started by the Wirral Car Enthusiasts, the club has expanded to include the Wirral Classic Car Club, the Brums and Buns and Wirral Wobblers as well as people from the MG and Morris Minor clubs.
Caroline Hutton of Retain Wellbeing, which runs Gift Café, a not-for-profit coffee shop, said: “It was such a lovely day and the cars looked amazing in the sunshine.
“We’ve got lots of parking space at the Gift Café, which makes it a great venue for Ashley and his friends to showcase their amazing cars. We love welcoming them.
“We’re looking for more community groups who would like to use the space for their own club or event to get in touch.”
Ashley Jones, who runs the club alongside Phil McEvoy, said: “We wanted to do our bit to help the Gift Café and this is a great event which particularly suits older cars looking for quiet runs down country roads.
“We always get a great selection of classic cars and we enjoy seeing the residents come out to take a look at the cars. They often spot a car similar to one they used to own and it brings back lovely memories for them.
“Caroline and her team always look after us very well and it is brilliant being able to meet at the café and tuck into some freshly brewed coffee and home-made cakes.”
The Gift Café, which stands for Getting Involved, Finding Talent, has been in operation in Puddington since 2017. Run by Retain Wellbeing, it is focused on making lives better for those with memory difficulties and their loved ones and is a dedicated dementia friendly coffee shop which is open to all.
