Chapel House Nursing Home and Plessington Court Residential Home both feature in a Liverpool Echo profile on the village of Puddington.
The GIFT café, also on Chapel House Lane in the village, gets a mention in the nostalgic feature too.
Liverpool Echo reporter Olivia Williams visited the village a few weeks ago to find out more about its interesting history.
She talked to local residents and also had a chat with Caroline Hutton about GIFT café, our dedicated dementia friendly on-site coffee shop.
All of the GIFT café staff are Dementia Friends, which means they have been trained to find out how dementia affects a person and do small everyday things that help.
The café is a not-for-profit organisation and all profits are donated to projects that tackle social isolation in the local community.
